Food Schedule for baby with diarrhea

I would love to share the schedule I have been following with Baby Koo as she recovers from her diarrhea-ted tummy.

10:00 AM Breakfast 1: Mashed Banana
11:30 AM Breakfast 2: Buttermilk
12:30 PM Lunch: Curd Rice
2:30 PM: Mashed Banana
4:00 PM: Buttermilk
5:30 PM Curd Rice
7:30 PM Mashed Bananas
9:00 PM Khichri
then onwards till next morning: BM


Food Recipes for Baby Diarrhea

Baby Koo has diarrhea :(. The Ped. says no milk or milk based products except yogurt and of course breastmilk are allowed.
For babies who are just 7 months old, non-milky products are difficult to think of. Here is what I have been feeding Koo:

1. Mashed Bananas: good for me, Koo loves them! (note: they cause threadlike strands in baby poo. no need to worry!)
2. Buttermilk/Watery Yogurt: Mix one part of thick yogurt with two parts water and a pinch of salt/sugar (both optional). Mix water only to make yogurt more digestible as it has some fat content. Yogurt is good for the stomach because of the health bacteria - lacto bascillus.
3. Curd Rice: A classic Tamilian dish. See recipe in the next post!
4. Khichri: Cooked Rice+Lentils. See recipe in another post!
